As a member of Lasham gliding club, Sandy is a keen glider pilot and photographer, while flying with her husband in their Duo discus (glider). Sandy is able to take pictures from the air and around Lasham airfield. The largest gliding club in Britain, Lasham is home to some 200 gliders as well as a fleet of club gliders. Over the years Sandy and her husband have entered competitions taking place at Lasham gliding club.
2009 saw Lasham gliding club host three competitions in the same week, the regional and two National competitions which gave Sandy the chance to capture many gliders in one place.
